The benefits from homeworking are nowadays well-known. First, you save money and time. You don’t waste time being blocked in traffic jam and have no spending in cars or gas. Second, studies affirm that workers are more productive in a quieter atmosphere, away from all the possible distractions in an office. They also benefit from a less stressful environment to work. Third, remote working enables to find a better balance between home and work life.

Atemis benefits from all of these assets. Yet, homeworking is also chosen at our company for another reason: it enables us to be an international company by remaining a small one. Our team is spread all around the world. From our bed or the Eiffel tower, the place we work doesn’t matter. As long as there is an internet connection, we work. This freedom is what we want to provide to our customer. That is why we develop web-based ERPs. If you forgot to do something before leaving on Friday evening or you have some work emergencies, you don’t need to come back to your office. Everything is on our web-portal. Even if you don’t have your laptop with you, it is not a problem. You store your documents on the cloud. This latter is accessible from every kind of computer with an internet connection, as long as you have your login and password.  Besides, an application is available for any quick task.

The definition of a team has changed over years. And it works quite well for us. We know the clients of our salesperson in Mexico thanks to the report he did everyday on his calendar. We can supervise a programmer in Ukraine and review his work, even if we are in Vietnam. We don’t need to be gathered in a unique office in one country to work together. We just save and share our information and documents on the same place: our ERP. Thus, we work whenever and wherever we want.
